SCOPE GLOSSARY
The terms we use – and what they mean on your site.
Every 243SITE scope and quote uses these terms the same way, so builders, site managers and project managers know exactly what is being priced and delivered.
DEFINITIONS
Cleaning and support terms
- Progressive cleaning
- Cleaning carried out repeatedly during construction – typically by floor, unit or zone as trades complete – to keep work areas clear, safe and presentable while the project is still active.
- Builders clean
- A first-pass clean after the main construction trades finish: removal of construction dust and debris, packaging and stickers, and a general wipe-down so the area is ready for finishing trades or detail cleaning.
- Post-trade cleaning
- Targeted cleaning after a specific trade has completed (painters, tilers, joinery, electrical) to remove that trade’s residue before the next activity starts.
- Detail / presentation clean
- The fine clean that brings an area to presentation standard: high and low dusting, glass and frames, cabinetry inside and out, fixtures, hard floors and final wipe-downs.
- Final / handover clean
- The last detailed clean before an area is presented to the client, inspector or purchaser, checked against the agreed scope.
- Post-defect re-clean
- A planned return visit to re-clean areas disturbed by defect work, touch-ups or late installations after the first final clean.
- Staged handover
- Cleaning sequenced to match a project that hands over in parts – by unit, floor, block, common area or agreed completion zone – with each stage presented and checked as it completes.
- HANDOVER READY
- 243SITE’s structured final-stage service: detailed construction cleaning, presentation support, planned re-cleans and quality control around the agreed handover scope and date.
- Site support / housekeeping
- Practical, non-trade support on an active site: housekeeping, light waste and debris handling, organising materials and areas, and pre-inspection presentation – so skilled trades are not spending time on it.
- Defined scope
- The agreed statement of areas, tasks, frequency, timing, standard and exclusions that every 243SITE quote is based on. If it is not in the scope, it is not assumed.
- Quality control (QC)
- A check of completed work against the agreed scope before an area is presented back to the project team, with identified issues rectified first.
- Exclusions
- Work that sits outside the agreed scope – for example specialist-licence work, heavy machinery, hazardous-material handling or trade qualifications – unless specifically included.
